ISIS raider hangs flag on MFO lookout post in North Sinai

April 10th Kim Johnson

The first visit to Cairo by Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Thursday, March 7,heralded a new chapter in the war on the Islamic State in Sinai, one to be fought with petrodollars versus the jihadis’ war chest. The monarch brought President Abdel-Fattteh El-Sisi two large checks: a $20bn guarantee to cover the oil needs of 90 million Egyptians for the next five years, and another $1.5bn listed euphemistically under the heading of “Sinai development.”

Two-thirds of the latter sum – a cool billion dollars – has been wholly earmarked, according to DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources, for weaning 13 Sinai Bedouin chiefs from their commitments to supply fighters and other services to the Wilayat Sayna of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – ex-Ansar Bait al-Maqdis. The Egyptian army will also acquire hi-tech intelligence tools for fighting the terrorist group holding the peninsula in its grip.

King Salman’s arrival in Cairo, his first since ascending the throne in January 2015, follows a sharp downturn in Egyptian security versus the rampant ISIS threat due to three disturbing developments in the last week of March:

1.  A large group of senior ISIS officers arrived in Sinai from their Syrian Raqqa headquarters to assume command of operations against the Egyptian army and security forces. Their arrival coincided roughly with the transfer to the Golan of another group of officers to bolster the affiliated Yarmouk Martyrs Brigade posted there.

2. They carried additional orders to mount terrorist operations from Sinai against Israel. One of their plans is to land sea raiders on Israeli beaches, in the same way as ISIS gunmen attacked tourist seaside resorts in Tunisia and southern Egypt.

3.  ISIS has imported into Sinai through Bedouin smuggling rings a new type of extra-powerful Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), which were recently encountered with deadly effect by Egyptian military, intelligence and security forces on Sinai roads.

The Bedouin tribesmen pose an all-encompassing threat to Egyptian forces. They are the Islamist terrorists’ eyes and ears for detecting and betraying their slightest movements in the peninsula. Furthermore, hundreds of “messengers” on motorbikes or camels carry information and orders to and from ISIS commanders before they decide whether to strike or go into hiding from a coming Egyptian assault. By using these human couriers, ISIS operatives can eschew communication by satellite networks, cell phones and social media, which are susceptible to eavesdropping.

StandwithIsrael Summit March 10-13, 2016

March 10th Kim Johnson

Stand With Israel Summit Schedule

We are living in a prophetic day like no other day in human history–and center stage is Israel and the Church.  Never before has National Israel and the Christian Body of Believers existed at the same time.  At the time of the birth of Jesus and the Church, Israel was ruled by the Romans and in decline as spoken by the prophets.  Today, Israel is a thriving Jewish nation under its own sovereign rule with the greatest military and entrepreneurial system in the world.  Understanding the relationship between Israel and the Church as well as between Jews, Gentiles and Believers is critical to the unfolding of G-D’s plan for the final redemption.

If you attend one conference this year–attend this conference!  You will receive fresh manna, vision and purpose.  The pieces of your life will meet destiny and direction and together we will “sing a new song” in the House of the L-RD!

Military Build Up on Israel’s Borders

January 4th Kim Johnson

Israel Increases Security After Threats by ISIS and Hezbollah                          Featured Image: Dore Gold, Director General Ministry of Foreign Affairs

“Of Benjamin he said, ‘May the beloved of the LORD dwell in security by Him, who shields him all the day, and he dwells between His shoulders.’”  (Deuteronomy 33:12)

Israeli security forces are on high alert along the northern border for a threatened “imminent attack” by Hezbollah in Lebanon, while guarding against the Islamic State (ISIS) after its recent merger with Syrian terror group Shuhada al-Yarmouk.  In fact, hundreds of ISIS militants are amassed at Israel’s border.

Preparations by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for a northern assault have involved strategizing for possible infiltration, rocket attacks and chemical warfare.

Meanwhile, farmers in the north of Israel said they are seeing the greatest presence of Israeli security forces they’ve seen since the 2006 Second Lebanon War.

The IDF has cleared away forest areas and is carving out cliffs near the border with Lebanon “to make it harder for infiltrators to enter Israel unnoticed.”  (Algemeiner)

Israel also thwarted a shipment of Russian-made anti-aircraft missiles stored in Syria  that was destined for Hezbollah in Lebanon.

“We have interests that we will protect and red lines,” said Israeli Foreign Ministry Director-General Dore Gold to Saudi media in a rare interview.  “When we saw that there are those who wanted to transfer Russian missiles from Syrian warehouses to Hezbollah, we had to

“Israel has not and will not allow anyone to violate its sovereignty, nor will it allow the transfer of weapons that would undermine Israel’s air supremacy,” Gold said.  (Ynet)

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said Iran is trying to build another terror front in the Golan, but Gold affirmed that “Israel knows how to defend itself.”

But of course, Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy, is not the only danger.  Following an October video that threatened Israel with an onslaught of “tens of thousands from all over the world,” Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has made his first explicit threats against Israel.

The taped message ostensibly given by Baghdadi on December 26 addressed the Jewish people of Israel: “We are getting closer to you day by day.  Do not think that we have forgotten about you.”  (JPost)

Baghdadi’s audio message, while unverified, claimed that “God caused the Jews of the world to gather in Israel” and, therefore, “the war against them has become easy.”

“Jews, you will not enjoy in Palestine,” the message said.  “God has gathered you in Palestine so that the Mujahadeen can reach you soon, and you will hide by the rock and the tree.  Palestine will be your graveyard.”

“Mujahadeen” is the Arabic term for “Islamic fighters,” or people engaged in jihad— holy war.

PM Netanyahu’s UN Speech

October 2nd Kim Johnson

This speech is epic.  Watch at least the first 20 minutes — where he calls the entire assembly to moral responsibility for keeping silent by being silent for at least 45 seconds — stunning.  An incredible speech.  I am so proud to have a PM of this stature on the World Stage and leader of Israel.
